Terms of service

The deal, in short.

Last updated 10 June 2026

By using filter.fyi you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable; we've kept the lawyering light because we're early.

01Using the service

filter.fyi analyses links and content you submit and gives you a verdict, a short structured summary, and suggested next steps you can act on. You may use it for your own personal or work research. We may change, suspend, or stop features at any time, especially while the product is still young and evolving.

02Verdicts & suggestions are AI-generated

Important Verdicts ("yes, watch" / "hm, skim" / "no, skip"), summaries, and the suggested next steps are produced automatically by an AI model. They can be incomplete, biased, or simply wrong. They are not professional, financial, legal, medical, or investment advice. The suggested next steps — including any code, commands, or prompts to run in your own tools — are starting points only: review them and run them at your own risk. Use your own judgment and verify anything important.

03Acceptable use

Don't use filter.fyi to:

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access that breaks these rules or threatens the service.

04Accounts

Accounts use email sign-in links — there's no password. Keep access to your email secure; anyone with your inbox can sign in as you. You're responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account and data at any time from your library page.

05Your content

You keep all rights to the content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process it — including sending it to our AI provider — solely to provide the service to you (see the privacy policy). You confirm you're allowed to submit what you submit.

06No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that verdicts are accurate, that sources will always be reachable, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

07Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, filter.fyi and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make — or actions you take — based on a verdict or a suggested next step. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including your statutory consumer rights).

08Fetching & takedown

When you submit a link, we fetch that single page on your instruction — like a browser or a read-it-later tool — to summarise it, and we keep only a short summary, not a full copy. We act on the specific link you give us; we don't crawl the web or build datasets. If you're a rights holder or are featured in content and want a source removed from our system, email privacy@filter.fyi with the link and we'll remove it promptly.

09Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you where appropriate. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
